EAS Pikes Peak Ascent®: August 16, 2008 (1st Wave - 7:00am, 2nd Wave - 7:30am)
EAS Pikes Peak Marathon®: August 17, 2008 (7:00am)

General race registration start: March 12, 2008 (see below for times)
Award entry (1/2 price and free) registration start: March 19, 2008 (see below for times)

Note: All registration (except free/competitive) will be done online using Active.com. Free/competitive entries will be done online through this site.
Entry Fees
EAS Pikes Peak Ascent®: $85 + $4.25 Manitou Springs 5% excise tax + Active.com fees
EAS Pikes Peak Marathon®: $75 + $3.75 Manitou Springs 5% excise tax + Active.com fees
Triple Crown Series Option: As above + $20 for the Garden 10 Mile + $20 for the Summer Roundup
Entry Limits

Pikes Peak Marathon, Inc. is an equal opportunity service provider and a permittee of the Pike National Forest. Entry limits are set by the Forest Service and are out of our control. Indeed, if we go over the limits the Forest Service will lower them in the following years.
Note: These limits are for the runners on the course, not registered runners. We "overbook" the races to account for "no shows" based on prior years. See the info on Waiting Lists and No Shows below.
Waiting Lists
Although we "overbook" the races, to account for "no shows" we will still have waiting list for each race in the event that there are more "no shows" than planned.
Notes: In the past everyone on the wait lists has been given the chance to get into a race. However, there are no guarantees for this or any future year. Also, although we will try to notify you when you can move off the wait list and into a race, you are responsible for checking the wait list page yourself!
Age Limit
You must be at least 16 years old on race day to enter either the Ascent or Marathon.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued for any reason with the exception of active duty military personal in appreciation of their sacrifice. However, the military refund only applies to valid entries where the runner's qualifications check out. No refunds will be issues to anyone who signs up with invalid qualifications.
Number Transfer Policy
None, nada, zilch. Anyone caught running with another runner's number will not only get themselves disqualified but that person and the person who supplied the number will be banned from future races. We could go on and on about how there are search and rescue issues, medical reasons and forest service limits, etc. but bottom line this is cheating! This is a race and when this is done it messes up results.
No Shows
Please remember that there are people on the waiting list and by simply notifying us that you will not be running you may allow another person to run. We are sure you would want the favor returned if you were on the waiting list. However, do not notify us you are pulling unless you are 100% certain because once your spot is taken it is gone!
Confirmation Lists
You are NOT in any Pikes Peak race/wave/field or wait list until your name is on a confirmation list! Even then, you will not be allowed to run until your qualifications are verified and you have a "Yes" next to your QLink. Do not make travel arrangements until that time.
For those who do not pass the qualification check there will be a "No" next to your QLink indicating there is a problem. You will have until April 15th to address it. If at that time you have not fixed the problem you will be removed from the race and you will forfeit your entry fee.
Note: The qualification check process could take up to a month. If you live outside of Colorado and you need to make travel arrangements just send a note to the registrar and your qualifications will be checked promptly.
