Pikes Peak Marathon Information
Registration/qualification information for the 2010 races will be announced Early in the year. Actual registration will begin in March. In the meantime, the 2009 information below can serve as a starting point.
Race Dates
Pikes Peak Ascent®: August 15, 2009 (1st Wave - 7:00am, 2nd Wave - 7:30am)
Pikes Peak Marathon®: August 16, 2009 (7:00am for both Fields)
Registration Dates
General race registration start: March 11, 2009 (see below for times)
Award (1/2 price, free) registration start: March 18, 2009 @ 12:00 noon MT
Competitive entry request start: March 18, 2009 @ 12:00 noon MT
Entry Fees
Pikes Peak Ascent®: $95 + Active.com fees
Pikes Peak Marathon®: $85 + Active.com fees
Triple Crown Series Option: As above + $40 for the Garden 10 Mile and Summer Roundup
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued for any reason with the exception of Active Duty Military personal in appreciation of their sacrifice. However, the military refund only applies to those whose qualifications check out and in the case of TCR Series entries only the Ascent/Marathon portion of the entry will be refunded. Finally, and just to be clear, no refunds will be issued to anyone who signs up with invalid qualifications or who signs up for the wrong race/wave/field.
Deferrals
Entries are good for the current year only and will not be deferred or rolled over.
Number Transfer Policy
None! Anyone caught running with another runner's number will get themselves and the person who supplied the number disqualified and banned from future races.

Pikes Peak Marathon®: 800
Pikes Peak Marathon, Inc. is an equal opportunity service provider and a permittee of the Pike National Forest. Entry limits are set by the Forest Service and are for the runners on the course, not registered runners. We overbook the races to account for runners not showing up. See the info on Wait Lists and No Shows below.
Age Limit
You must be at least 16 years old on race day to enter either the Ascent or Marathon.
Wait Lists
Although we overbook the races to account for No Shows we still have a Wait Lists in case there are more qualification failures, award entries not claimed and TCR Series dropouts than expected. You must sign up for a Wait List. It's not an automatic process or done by request.
No Shows
Please remember that there are people on the Wait Lists and by simply notifying us that you will not be running you may allow another person to run. We are sure you would want the favor returned if you were on a Wait List. However, do not notify us that you are pulling until you are 100% certain because once you pull you can't change your mind and get back in!
